Sailing tender
Built by William Wyatts of West Mersea for Leslie French of Mersea. When Leslie retired he sold his boats and oyster layings to Ted Woolfe. His wife’s name was Betty Mary nee Saye, so we can only assume she didnt have a name at first or was renamed BETTY MARY after his wife.
Bill Baker brought BETTY MARY from Ted and restored her. His son William Baker, an oysterman, is the current owner.
